This is an idea for a cheap fishing rod holder for your boat: I have a Richline with a wood floor. I like to have up to 8 poles ready go with different lures and test lines.
First, get a cement foundation block with two holes in it from Home Depot for $2.00. Next, buy an 8' PVC pipe with a 2" inside diameter. Cut the PVC into 8 pieces (4- 12" long and 4' 15" long). Put the brick in your boat with the narrow opening down. Place all 8 pipe pieces in the holes. Two 12" and two 15" in each hole. They fit snug in the bottom and loose at the top. This setup allows you to have your poles vertical, near you and on any side of the boat you want. The different lengths of PVC allow room for the reels and permit the handles to fit in the holes without the button being pushed. No more tangled lines Try this out yourself! Or, I'll mail you my rod holder for $10.00 plus $50.00 shipping
