red valve/primer solenoid question

Okay...trying the boat out again tomorrow. Someone told me this on my last post..
Do NOT leave the red lever oriented 90degrees from the pump body...it will free-flow excess fuel

My ? is.... Can someone look at the pics and tell me, Is this switch in the right postition? Is it fully open or closed? (See Pic)
The pic on the left is where the red switch is now. The pic on the right is the switch turned all the way, the other way... Where should it be?


Also....The wires going to this (i circled them in the pic)... They should be a keyed 12Volt source right?....

Sorry SO many ?s...trying to eliminate all possible problems...before Im on the water.

Picture on the left is correct for the solenoid to work with the key, picture on the right is for manual operation. You are correct, the solenoid is activated with the key switch, 12 volts.
