hi,
my motor is 1982 evinrude 70hp

on the terminal block part#326255, marked red, there are two red wires, one to the rectifier and one to...a bundle of wires.

that one screw corroded to a stud, I need a new terminal block. In the mean time can I just tie the two red wires together to see if it solves my initial problem?

just want to make sure theres no bar in this plastic terminal block, acting like a jumper. And to be sure this screw is just used to connect red to red

thanks

All that terminal block does is tie those wires in so just make sure those wire have continuity with each other. Also make sure nothing else is tied into the same area. If that terminal block is all tied together then you need to make sure ALL connections have continuity with each other. Basically, you can tie whatever wires are supposed to be together any way you choose, just make sure they do not ground out or short somewhere else.
