..to replace my original on my 73 Glassmaster Tarpon which stops at 3400 rpm even though the engine runs faster than idicated.

I've been considering a Teleflex Amega. I think my original was a Sun.

I have a dashboard full of Teleflex Sportsman gauges. The tach is 3 years old now. None of the gauges has given me any trouble. The tach needle is steady even in rough water.

I have no complaints.

Tall, she's a 73, bought new in April 74. Maybe the gas crunch slowed the sale. :lol I bought it from the son of the original owner.

Guys,
I may try seeing what's stopping my needle at 3400 rpms first hopeing it's just dirt or some minor corrosion but the teleflex seems to be what I will go with if I can't fix the original. Bass Pro Shops and iboats has them for the same price.
