recessed fish finders

Iam looking at a 1996 stratos 295dc, the front fish finder doesnt work and the one in the dash only powers up. My question is can I get new ones that are up to date that will fit in those spots? For the one in the dash I am wanting gps and navionic hot map capablitys?? I just think it would look cleaner.

The best of my knowledge is you would have to measure then meet up the specs or you could do what I did and take off the piece of plexiglass and take it to a place that specializes in it and have them cut you a new piece. I did this and then mounted my electronics to it. The plexi cut to size cost me $6. Just throwing that out there for you. Here is a pic to help you visualize
