I recently purchased what I believe to be A 1972 15' EBKO tri v bowrider (no data plate) with a 105 Chrysler (model 057HD serial 2460). As I am new to boating I know next to nothing, but this thing runs, floats and is fairly clean. At the Lake I had it up to 26 MPH. RPM gauge does not work at this point. There are 3 things that I do know need to be fixed or tweaked:

1.) Motor does not Idle which makes it a bear to launch. The prop has to be engaged with a little throttle to get her going.

When I open her up, It hesitates just a little but then takes off pretty strong. It seems to run good at WOT.

2.) It pulls hard to the right. A friend told me there is something you can adjust near the prop? What else could cause this?

3.) Need a stop pin for the Manual trim. I imagine this will be a hard to find item. Any parts source suggestions would appreciated.

Your opinions on SELOC shop manuals? Also boat covers? Is this enough to pull a skier?

Thanks in advance!

There are idle mix screws on each carb initial
setting is one turn out from gently bottomed.
Final adj. must be done under load.Be sure
the final idle is as low possible to reduce
stress when shifting.
High speed are fixed jets.
If it has the right prop and the boat isnt a ton
my guess is you should get about 40 mph.
and it should pull a skier.
Most motors have a trim tab under the anti cav. plate to adj. to help with prop torque.
At wot boat should have 1/2 to 3/4 in the water.
to much might be some of the prop torque problem.
Also will suck up speed.Trim pin should help with that.
Seloc manuals are ok and readily available.
A factory manual is usually the best but hard to find.
I think custom covers are the only way to go,but
costly.
Generic covers take a lot of tinkering or they
are constantly full of water or getting blown off.
Try www.fairwindmarina.com for parts or
www.tcoutboard.com
