Mineral oil only for 25 hours and not over 3500 rpm. Buy a magnetized oil drain plug to see if the rebuild is self- destructing. {metal filings}

Uh...unless Sony is a mind reader...I don't know how he knows what engine you have.

Tell us the year, make, model, etc....and maybe we can help. Also...what components were replaced??

Walt

watch your water temp and oil press like a hawk!
don't run wot right away, vary your rpm's, ease into
an off the throttle ,no sudden
and change oil after 4-5 hrs run time.

Have you ran it yet,did you rering it also?
if so I hope you soaked those new rings in oil by the top of the pistons, let it smoke that oil off it won't hurt it,it will help them seat in better.

Just My $.02

Rich

What Wellcraft 89 said. If you want to know what is going on inside you engine at first oil change, capture a sample (3 or 4oz) in a clean container that you can seal. Take sample to a heavy equipment dealer (Cat or John Deere) and have them do a fluid test. Cost about $10 - $12. The test will tell you more than you want to know but could give you peace of mind.
