I am going to be rebuilding a small block chevy and having never done more than simple repairs (water pump etc). I am going to need alot of help. I dont want to waste the time of everyone here by asking "simple" questions. (how much to torque header bolts etc) With all this info on the net somoeone muse have an engine rebulding guide on a website. surely in this day and age I shouldnt have to consult a book.

Jason

I agree books are some of the best tools... You may want to go to a libary and check out a few (Chiltons in the ref. section will have all the torq. settings...If you don't buy one....Photo copy that section).

Also remember if this engine is for a boat to use a marine gasket set.

BBS's are a wonderful tool when you get "stuck" on a problem.

My $.02 worth
