rebuilding mercruiser 233 fuel pump

Does any one know where to buy a rebuild kit for a mercrusier 233 351w fuel pump. I have done a search and have only been able to find new fuel pumps.

Mercruiser don't supply kits for the pump. Safety issue, I think. If you go to an auto shop you should be able to get a kit. BE CAREFUL. The marine pump is dual diaphram.<br /><br />Chris.............

NO, the diaphrams are made of different materials so they don't both break at the same time.

achris thanks for the input, funny thing is that I just bought the boat and figured I would give some of the system's a rebuild, when I pulled the pump apart there was some varnish but all the gaskets and diaphram looked okay. If I can't find a match at the local napa thinking about just reusing them, untill they fail.<br /><br />thanks again for the input.
