I want to rebuild my carb, doesn't ilde well at low rpm's. I have been using ring valve cleaner and a fuel additive i got from my dealer for the last 2 years but I'm still not happy. I plan to purchase service manual and rebuild kit, what should I purchase to soak / ultrasonic jets / parts with. I hear about a lot of diff. Chemicals.

Carburetor cleaner that comes in a one gallon pail from any auto parts store. The brand isn't important.

Yep. 4-hour room temperature bath for all non-rubber bits, followed by a liberal blow-out with generic carb spray.

Mr. Paul,
Do recommend ultrasonic bath for parts or just static bath?
Thx!

As long as you use the aggressive 1-gallon pail of carb cleaner, you should be OK without vibration... but it probably wouldn't hurt -- just don't add heat.
