I have a really old boat from the 60s that has been moved around through the family. It is really old aluminum boat i was trying to figure out if its even worth restoring now hull is fine it floats has no bad spots I can find on it. my temptation is to just sell it because its nothing I want for fishing i would rather have a open bow or tracker style boat than the old style this boat is.

Looks to me like you already know you want to sell it. Is there another family member that might want it? I have my grandpas old aluminum boat now. My dad got it when Grandpa died, then it went to an uncle, then another uncle and back to my dad. My dad also wanted a different style boat, so he cut the deck off of it and put a casting deck in it's place. Dad was going to sell it, but I wanted to have grandads boat! I cought my first fish from a boat in that boat, so did my daughter and I hope her kids will as well! My point is, ask family first, somebody might treasure the boat more than you think!

Thanks for the reply. You got a great point that I was thinking about I do not have the money right now for the boat i really want so I was thinking of doing some stuff with the old one over the winter just to make it look good again.
