First time. For me and for the carb. Motor is nearly 20 years old.

With less than ideal light, and eyeballs, I didn't notice which way the wire clip attaches to the float valve pin when I took it apart. Heck, I didn't even see it at first.

Looking at the parts diagram it looks like the "opening" of the clip faces the "opening" of the float, but I'm not certain, or if it even matters.

Does anyone here know? Anything else I should know while putting it back together? Light grease on the float chamber oring?

Thanks!

Not critical, but we usually face the opening towards the plastic of the float.

No need to lubricate anything, premix fuel will do its job inside carb. Just for the record, which number is stamped on the current prop, check blade or body for that ? Where there M30A4 motors 20 years back ?

Happy Boating
