I did rebuild the carb, mercarb 815396 on mercruise 3.0. When I was removing it I had a problem with disattaching the Fitting fuel inlet from the fuel line that goes from the fuel pump to carburetor. I had to remove the air horn and unscrew the fuel line from the fuel pump to separate the fuel line from the carburetor. When looked inside the fuel inlet fitting nut, on the diagram it has to be a fuel inlet gasket, however I did not see any inside. What kind of gasket does go in there, metal or other? I have a couple gaskets that were in the rebuild kit but I did not see any that were fitting well. Don't want to leave the fuel line prone to leaks. Also should there be another gasket at the connection of the fuel line to the fuel inlet fitter?
1st pic is of the fuel inlet fitting, should the gasket be between the fitting and the carb?
2nd pic is of the fuel line getting into the fuel inlet fitting, should the other gasket be there as well?
Thank you
