Hi all, I'd like to rebuild the power head on my 50esl74m this winter. Can anyone recommend a good place to get all the parts in a kit rather than ordering them piece by piece? Thanks!

Maxrules has really nice rebuild kits for good prices. But, this is if you want ALL the parts to rebuild the motor, basically like a remanufacture. Some people will just replace the parts that are bad, and reuse the needle bearings, main bearings, pistons that are good, etc. This will make the rebuild much more cost friendly. Just depends how long you plan on keeping the motor.

P.S. Obviously dont order until you have torn the engine down, and had the cylinders bored/honed so you know if you need oversized pistons or not. Sometimes they have to bore bigger than you think to get the cylinder scoring out. Break er down and see what ya got!!

Thanks for the lead! I'll defiantly tear it down before deciding which way to go. Gonna have to find a good machine shop that knows Outboards too.
