Back when I was younger when I pulled the motor down in my car I got something that was a full gasket set for the whole thing. I want to just rip this Johnson down and clean it up so I'm wondering is there such a thing for these too?

Marine engines are not that way... but you should be able to get upper & lower set to give you all you need...

Hi Glenn,
There's not a lot to that motor, and I know head gaskets are readily available, probably some others, too. However, if possible, save your old gaskets as templates to make new ones - there's not many gaskets in the whole thing. You can't get much simpler than that motor to start with on your first outboard rebuild... Have fun!
- Scott

Well glad to hear it's a good starter motor!

It does look like I can save the head gasket and another where the shaft meets the body should be no prob using hi temp gasket goo right?
