Reassembling Mariner/Yamaha 40 2 cylinder two-stroke- use of sealants on gaskets?

I am reassembling a Mariner 2-stroke 40 hp powerhead. I have the gasket set, but am wondering if anyone with experience has recommendations about using a sealant or RTV on any of the gaskets.

Most of the gaskets are paper. I would probably put those on dry.
Head gasket?
Is RTV recommended for any other seals, like on the crank shaft oil seals?

Usually you use Loctite on the seal cases and Permatex on the gaskets, I wouldn't use RTV on any parts.

Thanks! I will avoid the RTV and do the gaskets as you suggest.
