rear seal oil leak on 3.0 merc i/o alpha drive and soft spots in floor ????

i have tried tightning them down the leak will stop then start does neone know of a good bolt sealer i can put on them if i pull them one by one to get me through the season ?? it seems they keep vibrating loose the boat is a 86 galaxy conquest.. I am planning on restoration this winter just trying to get some time out of it baught it in oct n didnt see these problem it also has some soft spot in the floor looks like the previous owner laid ply over the original floor as a cheap fix but it is softened up know also is there a fiberglass sealer i can jsut go over it with to hard up underneaths seems solid still but wont know for sure till i tear into it ??

the bolts around the back of the motoer right behind the starter ... i have started ripping the decking out so i may pull the engine ne way dont know how bad the rotting is yet have to do some samples this weekend n see i think the stringer r solid but not definate yet wooo this will be fun lol... the guy told me it was lake ready had it out 4 xs this yr n noticed all these problems i wish people would be honest .... lol ne how i have pics of it up .. ne advice or help is appreciated this is my first rest... project

yes the bolts around the back there is a gasket there ?? i will be pulling the engine at some point to get a closer looks like i bought a rotten boat in need of full retoration so tearing into it know .. i dnt even know how it was stying afloat lol ??? the stringers are all wet and so on ...

ok my next ?? for anyone who can help me is where is the freeze plug located ??do i have to pull the motor to get to it

its at the rear of the block behind the flywheel, pull the drive first, then pull the motor, remove rear cover, coupler, flywheel

oil leak 3.0 mercruiser by starter ??

can anyone tell me where the freeze plug is can i get to it without taking out motoer.. It is leaking around the starter looked around with a mirror and block doesnt look cracked ?? anyone have any ideas ??

that wat i need to know thanks u so much ill look into it ..it is jsut dumping out around starter area wen i tighten bolts for the seal it stop so i re threaded them can it leak out of the flywheel gasket ,the block doesnt look cracked no overheating problems .. Im guessing its a damaged plug from wat others have said ??? any ideas ??

dont start a new thread for the same answer, even if you dont like the answer, its behind the flywheel and the motor must come out.

Fix it, 'n go Boatin'.....

ok sorry i didnt know and wasnt getting any answers that y i posted a new thread absolutley apoligize didnt mean to offend anyone !!! However is the good new is I drilled and re-tapped all the bolts around the flywheel cover, put locktite on them and started boat this mrning NO LEAK ... so the bolts were stripped out and the vibration of the engine was causing them to come loose and leak oil .. I will finish gel coating deck and be on the water this weekend yay !!! Again thanks for all the help n srry if was wrong now i know !!! thanks again happy boating to all .... at least now I know where the freeze plug is and im a idiot lol srry guys thanks again !!!
