The rear jump seats on my StarCraft Islander are in need of replacing. These fit in-between the side and the Doghouse, provide a little support for the doghouse and serve as a jump seat if you have more than 4 people on-board. They pop right out if you are handling a rod or need to get closer to the downrigger. They are also a handy step up onto the transom and accessing the swim platform.

One of these is broken and I am sure the other is not far behind. Looking for the part number or some interesting ideas for homemade. The boat is a 1994 StarCraft Islander 221 any ideas or suggestions are most welcome!

I'm assuming the guts of the seat are plywood. My Bayliner has similar jump seats in back, and I just unwrapped the vinyl and the foam carefully and cut a new piece of plywood. Reassembled carefully and tacked it all back down.

Wise boat jump seats come in various colors and sizes. They also make back-to-back front seats to match. IBoats carries them.

Optionally, you can buy a pair of folding fishing seats and then build a base out of plywood. Upholstery shops sell vinyl. All you need is a staple gun to build the base.

Easy peasy.

southkogs , JimS123: thanks for the comments and suggestions. I was looking at the fold down Jump Seats so I could swing them out of the way when landing or using the down riggers. For a start though I will replace the cracked plywood and try to shore it up with a transverse piece. They were not meant to be stepped on.
