Rear guide-ons help!!!

I have an older trailer. (it's been painted and I cannot locat the make and model #)
The rear guide-ons are the type with the tail lights inside. I am wondering what the rubber piece is called-it fits around the light and protects the boat side. The part number on it is 4" Fernco 1056-44. I have checked that out and it is actually a plumbing coupler.
Is this the correct part or was that just used because it fit?

I've never seen anything like that on a guide on or light.

I believe the previous owner just added it.

This is a picture of the trailer rear guide that needs replacing before I have my boat painted. Notice the gauges out of my boat...NOT GOOD.

Re: Rear guide-ons help!!!

That doesn't look like any guide on that I have ever seen, nor would I use it.

Looks like someone made a post to mount the lights on.
Now it hits the boat.
Rubber looks like an afterthought, bandaid.

Perhaps the trailer was used for a narrower boat at one time.

I would cut that thing off, mount the lights somewhere out of the way, and get a real guide-on if you need them.

yikes! they make larger guide on that are the 3ft tall ones that come way from the boat and have built in turn/stop lights. I found them on ebay and google.

I agree, that looks like a homemade light mount, not a guide on. That needs to go away and get real guide on posts and mount the lights elsewhere, some guide ons have lights in them.
