Spent 5 1/2 years living 23 miles south/southeast of Denver and loved going to a couple of local reservoirs there. Had an older 16' Bowrider then. Done rainbow trout fishing and "beaching" the boat to relax under a canopy on the beach.

Have now been living in northeastern Florida since 2009 and have definitely found out the difference between freshwater, brackish water and saltwater boating. Have a '92 Celebrity Cuddy. Doubt the boat has ever seen freshwater and our last repair on the inside of the stern drive showed that. Lots of salt-related damage, even though we use muffs and rinse out the drive/engine each time we come in from the water. Along with the "salt" problem, learning navigation stuff is a pain and the tide thing.

Yes, for us, boating on those Colorado lakes seemed much easier on us and on the boat we had then.
