I usually don't rant about anything. I do get ticked off when every story I read starts off with 1-4 sentences and then it says: READ MORE.
Then it links to the full story. Apparently the full story is available so there should not be any need to have to click twice to read it.I wonder if it is this way so the writer can amass more clicks and make more money?

I'd say about money - my guess it's all about advertising and "click-throughs." Internet marketing is an interesting critter.

Sometimes I think it's done to track interest in topcis. Sort of a way for websites and news organizations to determine what's trending.

Also websites can fit more stories on a single page by just giving a few sentences of an article, then you click on the ones your interested in to read the full story.

Are you reading Yahoo? A relatively new trick they've started and it's silly to open a new tab or window to finish reading an article. That's just one of the many potholes in the Information Highway.

Yea I have seen that and am certainly tired of it as well. Maybe I should stop falling for it and move on to other sources. Or better yet, just stop reading such stories that for the most part are not real new anyway.

Yep, reading Yahoo. I think it just started a couple of months ago and is really irritating! But, that is life!
