And they may not be legal. Plugging them into a four way trailer connector on your truck, or wiring into the brake/turn light circuit on a trailer means they work ok as a brake light. However, the turn signals also run off the brake/turn circuit so when your turn signals are in operation the light bar flashes. People will be so intent on watching the light bar they don't notice which way you are turning. I've seen these and similar light bars and they are annoying. If you do install one, install it as a true brake light and that means running a wire to the brake light switch or to the separate brake circuit if your vehicle has separate brake and turn circuits.
