Never have I ever owned a spincast reel until recently, my girlfriend wanted to come fishing with me so I decided to buy her an easy to use reel, a spincast reel, but I have absolutley no idea how to respool it. The spinning reels and baitcast reels are no problem for me, but I cannot figure out the spincast reel. Can anybody help me??

What reel is it, Fratalia?

With most you remove the spool cover, thread the line through the grommet and tie it off to the spool. Then reinstall the cover, set a modest tension on the line and crank away, being sure that you do not twist the line while reeling.

I had to stop now and then to pop the cover off so I could see how well filled the spool was. Fill it to about 1/8" of the rim.

I think most folks use mono on spincast reels, but they handle superlines well, too. If you are gonna put superline on it wind about 1/8" of mono on the spool before you start loading the superline.

Good luck. :)

Ayuh,........
And,.. If you see a Twist forming off the line spool,... Turn it Over,+ Unload it from the other side..........

The filler spool has to have the line pulled off the Side,... Not Unrolled........

I have noticed with triline that you want the label down when spooling new line. If you do it label up after about 20 loops you will notice the line starting to kink. After you get the line spooled I like to take it out to a lake with just a swivel on and with the motor running run out all the line and then reel it back in. Just dont go all the way and unspool all the line in case your knot isnt tied too well.
