I am in the process of rebuilding my carbs for my 1985 Evinrude 150HP XP
E150STLCOS. I thought I read somewhere that you should rejet because of the difference in fuel today. Is this something to consider? I also will have to get a cylinder or two bored probably .030" over(haven't taken block to machinist yet). Would getting it bored be reason enough to go up with the jetting and which jets get upsized. One other dumb question...Would you rejet all carbs? Thanks everyone!!

No need to re-jet for the conditions listed.

In some cases the idle circuit may have to be richened for today's fuel up but it's not typical of the motor you have. The motor should idle without spitting back or "sneezing". Cleaning the carbs is a standard part of a rebuild. The hi-speed circuit should be OK as is unless you're planning on turning over 6500 rpm.
