re-center steering wheel penta SX-a Dino wheel

I had the drive and gimbal housing off for re-seal and now after reinstall the steering wheel is off by 90 degress. I have no idea how I managed this but is there an adjustment procedure? Can I just pull the wheel with a wheel puller and rotate/reinstall? I seem to have full travel in both directions.

Tiller/spindle arm? No. I pulled the bottom pivot pin and the top two bolts that secure the ring to the steering shaft.

I did not touch the transom shield. Just re-sealed outdrive and fixed fasteners that broke on the gimbal ring during dissassembly
