Besides sealing the screw holes on the transom with something like 3M 5200 sealer/adhesive, should I also coat the contact area of the tab to?

helios2002,

I am Thomas and I work for Bennett Marine in the Client Service Department.

A bit more adhesive &/or epoxy will not hurt anything where as too little can be costly in the long run. Give a bit more than you need and wipe up the extra after you screw it in!

If you have anymore questions, please feel free to contact us.

Sincerely,
MJ Thomas
Bennett Marine, Inc.
Client Services
trimtabs@earthlink.net
www.bennetttrimtabs.com

Thanks Tabman. Good to see excellent customer service from a manufacturer available on a forum.
