From my experience you have to be a pretty talented fisherman to catch fish on Raystown lake. I'm a no talent, but I can catch fish on other lakes. I had my boat up there for several years and neve got a bite. There are lots of fish there however. If you're not familiar with the lake it's pretty deep and because it is a Damed river in a mountain area the water gets deep very close to shore. The big fishers up there go after the Striped bass and from discussions I've had they often go out after midnight in the summer. It's a beautiful place and I'm sure you'll do great. The last time I checked they were 12' below normal depth and talking about not letting power boats on until the water comes up. You can get an update at the Corps of Engineers web site.
