Raw water marine cooling, gasket question.

I'm installing a new gasket my 1998 Volvo Penta 5.7 L inboard outboard motor is raw water cooled how to determine whether I have a warm or cold type manifold application and do I use a fully open gasket or semi closed gasket?

Need to be able to see what you have. In order to do that you need to post pics of what you have

Your raw water cooled, that answers your question. Your manifold gaskets would not be block-offs

If you had a heat exchanger, then you worry about it, depending if you had a half system or full system
