I’m looking at a new 21 foot bass boat and narrowed it down to Ranger or Nitro. I currently have an older Nitro but nothing to compare it to. If cost didn’t matter what would you go for and why?

I'd go with a Ranger. Back in the day, the Ranger was the elite boat. I'm guessing that's still the same now.

I tested out the Nitro boats years ago and found the quality lacking. In particular, the underside of the gunnels had raw fiberglass edges which could easily cut your hand. Maybe they've improved over the years, I dunno.

I do miss running across a 50,000 acre impoundment at 70MPH to get to the bass.

Rangers are over-priced because of the name and all the fancy stuff. Buy a Whaler. Not fancy, but over-built.

I do too,,,,,,,in my two acre farm pond.....Florida Strain Black Bass. I take my boat out to boat ride. Grin

I bought a new 18' Ranger in 1989 with a 115 Merc......impeccable quality and workmanship.
