ok guys how do i get the bench seat off??its one long seat,has two straps down by the floor but dont seem to do anything,would like to clean and be able to see my gas tank..

I think you have to remove the screws that hold down the panel the seat mounts to. The bolds ar on the bottom side. Thats how my 97 r70 was

There are six screws across the top of the panel and three across the bottom, the screw heads are covered by little pop-off caps. Remove the screws and the panel/seat assy. just lifts out to expose gas tank, etc.

As R says, seat is bolted to panel from the bottom.
