Hi, I have a 2000 Bayliner Capri 2150 with the 5.0l and Alpha 1 O/D. I just got the boat a couple weeks ago. It starts and runs good, I checked all the fluids etc. before I ran it. The oil looks good, and the 2 reservoirs in the engine compartment are between Full and Fill (not too low, but not at the top). Sometimes the beeper alarm goes off. It's not always at the same time. Seems like when I quickly take the throttles down, and sometimes when I slow down and go over some larger waves. So I'm taking a guess that it's a low level alarm and the movement is making the sensor go off. How can I figure out why it's going off? From the other posts I see the reason these alarms go off, but I can't simply unplug each sensor because I can't nail down the times it will go off. It never sets the boat into "limp home mode" (if there is such a thing), and the alarm usually only comes on for a second or two.
Thanks,
Steve.

Could also be on the verge of overheating. When was the last time the raw water pum impeller was changed? Have you looked at the gauges when the alarm goes off?

Re: Random Beeps

The temperature stays at 175 (I think thats right for this engine). If I trim it up too high it will warm up a little more, but I'm figuring the trim out, so thats not the problem.
I don't know when the impeller was last changed, but since the temperature stays constant I think it's ok.
I'd like to top up both reservoirs, but how can I tell what they've been filled with, or is it ok to mix fluids????
