Ran prop aground on sand bar...

I have a 96' bayliner 5.7 murc with alpha one outdrive. Today took my boat out for the third time ever, purchased at the end of last season in southeast Michigan and ran it twice before winterizing. Ran it on an unfamiliar lake to me, dumb I know... Last season pulled the plug after both rides and only had drips of water, good signs. Engine fired right up after waking for this season today. Ran around the lake past the house and went to make my turn back and found the sand bar.... Going about 15-25 mph... Was real soft and about 12-18 inches deep. Prop was half buried... Engine stalled immediately and I never had this happen. Opened hood and check for water intrusion, none seen right away, check vitals, everything okay. Cranked engine, while stuck, in neutral and ran great. Put in gear and engine stalled. Had to be towed out by pontoon passing by while lifting rear of boat myself to free it up. Once pulled out into "open" water I was able to raise my drive finally, started the motor and put it into drive and reverse with issues and idled out of the area only with a few more drudge scraps. Ran it around for another 1.5-2 hours with out problems, engine ran great and even got up to over 45mph in the calm. Checked the prop and keel, has mucho paint rubbed off now and prop has no bends just a few gouge marks that could be filed smooth easy.

My concern regarding posting is, when I pulled the plug after trailering back to the pole Barn, more than just a few drips of water came out... I'm concerned about a possible seal break or crack somewhere. I had a slow stream of water come out for a few seconds. What it the best guess or should I be concerned? Is this something maybe to take to the shop for?

Replace the water pump in the drive, sand chewed that up.
a very hard hit could loosen the transom gasket from a rotted transom.easy to replace gasket, downside motor and transom need to be removed from the boat.
Depending on how hard the gears took the sudden stop, you could be looking at a broken gearset or lower unit gears in the short future.
