Is there a trick other than just a hammer and punch to get the ram free from the trim motor. The sliding pin is my last obstacle and ive been hammering on it for half an hour and is sliding nanometers at a time, lol. Lubricant doesnt seem to help any either. I believe i heard heat would help, but unsure of what kind , heat gun? Any advice from someone that has done it would be a great help. Sorry about all the posts, but i have many projects on the go with this boat at one time, ty and happy boating

It sounds like the pin has hammer welded itself to the hole. I would try a good dose of PB Blaster letting it soak for a hour or so and the reapplying before I tried to tape it out again. If that will not work you can use heat from a propane torch to get the area good and hot and again try to drive the pin through. Sometimes they can be a bear to let go.
