I Have a Johnson 2000 175 on a 20' bayliner cuddy with a 18" pitch ss 4 blade prop on it now . The present prop has me with a top end speed of about 45 mph and wot of 5100 -5200 . I should be at 5500 rpms . I have raised the motor as high as I can go with it and the motor handles well. What size prop would get me to my max wot of 5500 rpms ? Thanks for the input !

A manual jackplate is cheaper than a new prop.

Does a jack plate put a lot of stress on your transom ? and what is the effect of moving the motor back ? I notice they come in different set backs ,6" 10" , 12 ",
