Radar Question

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to get my husband Radar for Christmas. We currently have a Lorance Fish Finder. The boat when we purchased it did have radar with dome on the top but it never worked. Can I buy a Si-tex Radar system - dome and display, will it work with a Lorance system? Or do I even need to worry if it works with a fish finder?

The stand alone Si-tex is your best option.

If your Lowrance fish finder is a MFD as in it can displays GPS Radar Fish Finder and monitor engine then all you need is the dome . That will tap into your MFD and when you want allow you to have radar and FF on with a split screen or go up to 4 screens and then you can go GPS .FF , Radar .and Engine systems. Or just radar ,you can put whatever combination or solo screen you want.. If the Lowrance is just a FF then you need a stand alone Radar unit and MFD , night as well get the MFD at that point and combine your GPS FF and radar. Not sure if they, [ anyone ] even make a stand alone Radar monitor/head unit anyway.
