I am curious about whether or not a lower pitch prop and higher rpm is going to give more actual thrust than lower rpm and a higher pitch prop. And, if someone can tell me the formula for finding out what difference pitch, rpm, and cupping is all about, and how to calculate it would be most appreciated! This by the way is on my '65 Evinrude 9.5hp.

Your engine should run at the top of it's rpm range, on your engine 4500. As for thrust, higher than a Mix-Master, lower than a 10 horse.
