R.I.P. Carrie Fisher

Having taken the wife to see 'Rogue One' yesterday and see the Carrie Fisher look-a-like at the end and explaining to her who Carrie Fisher was and why she was so important to the Start Wars franchies, to wake up this morning to hear the news of her passing is indeed sad.

60 years old is far too young. Too many music and film people this year.... Roll on 2017.

We lost a lot of greats in 2016 David Bowie , Glen Frey, Prince, Mohamed Ali, Alen Thicke the list is just to long. Makes me feel my mortality.

Sad indeed. My daughter dressed up as Princess Leia when we went to watch Episode 7 last year. Sure was good seeing Carrie Fisher in that role again. She will be sadly missed in the sequels....

Prince, George Michael, seems like it's coming in droves....

We're Star Wars fans and my daughter was bummed out. Unfortunate, but life goes on....

Planning on seeing Rogue One before she goes back to school.....

She was so iconic, and yet had such a difficult time post-Star Wars. A sad loss.

It was neat to see her character recreated again in Rogue One.

The filming for episode 8 wrapped up a few months ago, so Ms. Fisher will be seen as the princess/rebel leader one more time. release day is neither Nov or Dec 2017

Really sad news that she died, and now her mother too.

We've lost quite a few famous people recently and over 2016 as a whole. Lots of talented people I grew up either listening to ( David Bowie, Glen Frey , George Michael, Prince Ralph Stanley) , or watching on television and the big screen ( Robert Vaughn, Gene Wilder, Alan Rickman, Patty Duke, Doris Roberts. ) and many more.
