Hi all - I was using the Quicksilver (Merc) premium semi-synthetic oil in my 60hp Merc oil injected. I am now a Yamaha convert. I have 2 (very bloody expensive) bottles of the stuff left over from the old motor. It meets the TW3 of whatever reccomendations of Yamaha; my only concern is that the leanest the Merc runs in 100:1 at idle whereas the Yamy is 200:1 I think. Therefore I wonder whether the Yamy made oil offers better protection as such a lean rate. <br /><br />Cheers....PS. Am I right about the 94 model (I have taken the specs from the current Yamy model and assumed that the precision blend system in 94 was running those ratios and then up to 50:1 at WOT).
