Quicksilver 3000 throttle loose

Hello all: I have a 1994 bayliner with a Quicksilver 3000 remote. After giving full or partial throttle, the lever slides very slowly and backs off the throttle. Is there a way to adjust this to give the lever a liitle more friction? I would like it to stay where I put it.
