Quick and Quiet Exhaust ?

I have a 2002 Monterey 218LS, 5.0 MPI Mercruiser. I have the Captain's choice for quick and quiet exhaust. When I have it on quiet is it normal for water to still come out the mufflers on the side of my boat? I can't remember if it always did this or not. I know it comes out when I have the quick (loud) on, but not sure about when it is off.<br /><br />Thanks,<br />Sean

Monterey,<br /><br />I would say yes. The mufflers are water cooled thus water is essential for proper cooling.
