Questions?..Mercury 60h.p.bigfoot 2002

I just bought a boat with a 2002 merc 60hp bigfoot...question.does this motor have an alternator that will charge the main battery, and the trolling motor battery...or do I have to go out and buy an onboard charger..and if so what type of charger...

I think the new 60 has an output of 15 amps. It will charge both batteries but I don't know if it is wired to do so. If it isn't Mercury sells a wire for some of the motors that can be used for that. Ask your dealer and he should know. Hope this helps,<br />Jabo
