Questions about contols for my 75 hp Evinrude

1. I have a 1961 75 hp Evinrude do the contols have to be the same year or will any year work?<br />2. Does any one here have a set that will work for this motor that they are willing to sell at a reasonable price? TIA, Roger

is this motor electric shift or not. I have some twin lever control boxes that are just shirt and throttle.<br /> if not maybe some of the older OMC dealers have one.

I believe it not electric shift, I just got this motor from a guy who was supposed to have the controls. For some reason n either he nor the controls have been forth coming. I looked on the motor and theres a lever and cable holder that leads me to believe that it a standard shifter. How much do you want for your shifter setup and where are you? Please give zip ccode so I can concider shipping charges. TIA, Roger
