So, I got my 'new' SeaDoo back after getting the tank replaced, Got some questions:
1. it runs Great, but how long should I get on a tank of gas? ( found one manual on-line said it's only a 9 Gal. tank)
2. what is the continuous 'beeeeep' when it is running for a while? - manual said engine overheating ( did not seem that hot to me - no burnt fingers!). Someone else told me its the low gas warning. - which is it?
3. ran out of gas, Gas Gauge said 1/4 tank left. also, the res switch did not do anything ( still did not start, and the alarm beeeeeeeeped!
4. Since the Gas Gauge indicated 1/4 tank, and the res. switch did not make any diff, could this guy have replace the tank wrong?
5. I'm thinking of fixing it myself, would a shop manual tell me how the tank is to be installed?
I assume that there are 2 pick-ups that went into the tank, one lower then the other, and that's how the res. works. Because when it did not start, I looked in and there was still gas in the bottom of the tank. ( maybe 1/2 to 1 gal.).
Any ideas? Could I get the gas gauge to reflect the correct amount?
Thanks
Chris
P.S.
Jet Skis seem to love gas!
