Question Repower question HPDI vs. Optimax

Time to add new power to my 89 2500 Hydrasport WA need some of reviews on which is going to be better,or should I say reliable and fuel efficient. looking at twin 150's ,either Yamaha 150 HPDI or mercury 150 Optimax I have a line of a pair of each relatively same price and years both have approx 280hrs and are both 2002 models so dealer support is also something to consider
boat originally powered with 1997 ocean-runners that performed well enough for my fishing a cruising level within 50-70 miles
Your thoughts
pros and cons greatly appreciated

Not a big fan of the HPDI. Too many problems. I would go with the proven Optimax w/o a second thought

I guess I shouldn't call them problems. High maintenance would be a better choice of words. Too many pumps and filters to change and maintain. Don?t like motors that require additives (Ring free) to keep running either.
