From the picturres below, are my anodes aluminum, magnesium or zinc?
I don't think it is zinc from the color.

Are they still good? The ones on the outdrive look OK to me. The ones on the trim tabs, I don't know, seems more than 50%.

I boat in fresh water, but plan a trip of 5 months if Florida. I read that aluminum is good for fresh and salt water. So, if my anodes are aluminum, I should be OK?

you can only get zinc trim tab anodes. If you have not replaced the others they are most likely zinc as well.

I would replace them

They are all worn out. I replace mine when they porosity starts to set in.

Looks to be zinc from the way they have eroded. Aluminum tends to develop “white rust” over time

Here are the aluminum anodes for the trim tabs

So if I want to go in freshwater and saltwater without changing anodes, I should go with aluminum?
