question on mounting lounge jump seats

Hi well thinking of installing a pair of new lounge jump seats was going to just put seat covers on them but the price of some new ones is about the same, I have a fiberglass floorboard how involved is this to do I know about dryrot my last boat.... what is the procedure?

fit your seats as to where they are going, drill you holes, then remove the seats, and apply 3M 4200 around an in the holes, now reposition the seat and screw the down. careful not to drill all the way thru the hull.

My old MFG has a fiberglass deck and the seats are bolted down with well nuts, they're a rubber plug with a brass nut insert they seal up as you tighten the 1/4-20 bolt. you can take the seats in and out at will, I've taken mine out for cleaning and repair and the well nuts still hold after several cycles.
