I'm in the process of installing a new gimbal bearing on my 3.0 cobra. I have the new bearing in & seated. However when I greased the bearing I don't seem to be getting any of the grease coming out of the actual bearing, {the part that spins}. The grease is coming out around the bore. Shouldn't grease be coming out of the actual bearing, the center? Should I just keep pumping grease to it, or have I done something wrong? The bearing does not appear to be cocked in the housing & I scribed a mark on the bearing to line up with the grease tube. Thanx for your help.

Re: Question on gimbal bearing installation

Well, I answered my own question. Went back out & pumped some more grease to it & the grease now comes out where it's supposed to. Tomorrow, new u- joints & bellows!

Be sure to check alignment while you have the drive off.
