Question for Don ???

Hi all<br />This is not a problem just curious?.<br />Why do some riser gaskets have 2 sides blocked off and 2 small holes,and some have 4 sides open.

Thanks Don<br />The reason i was curious was that i have just replaced mine, volvo 5.7 and i was sure i was given the wrong gaskets, the dealer assured me they were right,on taking my risers off he was right,2 slots 2 holes.On doing a search on the forums i also found i had the right gaskets.Just wondered why the flow should be resticted in any way.
