I need to figure out where the wiring, solenoids, etc. go for select trim on omc 400. Since you have this on your boat, I was wondering if it would be ok to take a look.--adrew, also in sacto-go Kings.

Re: question for boatist

Andrew
I have the wireing diagram and a section out of book I could send you. If get some warm dry days on the weekend I could take both cover off boat and cover supports open up engine and take some pictures and send that all to you. This weekend with the kings game and supperbowl is out. Wireing is all sealed in a wire harness so not much to see. Do you have the manual with wireing diagram and instalition instructions? What do you need pictures of?? The solenoid block, motor mounts and trim motor?? What resolution do you want 640 by 480 or 800 by 600?? Give me a E-Mail address or a home address and I will send info.

Re: question for boatist

I rally feel bad for you guys in California. Temperature here right now 16*F - Saco, Maine.
I'm still looking for a boat Boatist. Thanks for you info on your friends Trophy. Not much in the used deparment for sail right now. Boats run a little hard on the ice! I'm waiting for some boat shows. I may be traveling to the Keys in February. I may be able to try something out there as far as the ride is concerned. Thanks again and have a good Super-Sunday!

Re: question for boatist

Masterp
Problem is if people like their boat they keep it and nvver want to sell it. Just vent to International Sportmans expo where they had both Trophy and Striper boats. Both very much alike but the Striper had about 5 models to choose from.

Re: question for boatist

thanks boatist, after further review of seloc I think I've got it figured. I need to get trim solenoids which mount next to tilt solenoids, yes? From there I will have to add to the wiring harness to connect this and sending unit to a trim switch and trim gauge on the dash. Sound about right? Is any trim gauge ok to use or are there differences?

Re: question for boatist

Andrew
I do not know about the trim guage. Mine came with the boat and motor and never had a problem with it. I take it you have the Wireing Diagram. I look at it and was supprised how many wires involved. Only problem I have had with my Selectrim was the front motor mount went bad. Took me a while to find the problem. We could feel vibration when taking off then later anytime over about half throttle. Ofcourse if slowed down and pulled the engine cover all was ok.

Re: question for boatist

Did the mounting bolts pull out of the stringer or did something else on the motor mount break? Should I put epoxy or something into the bolt holes to reinforce them?

Thanks boatist. I found solenoids, gauge and switch at shipwreck marine. Guess I'll just go put em in.
