Question for Admin-iboat's refresh speed?

Invariably when I use the forum, late at nite, 11:30 pm PDT, changing between screens occurs at the speed of cold molasses. It just took 1.5 minutes to post a reply.<br /><br />While I was waiting I opened another browser and went to an unrelated forum. It worked at its usual lighting fast speed. It appears to be an iboats issue not a cable issue. This seems to happen every time I get on late at nite.<br /><br />Are you aware of any reasons?

Probably some kind of backups going on late at night. I know that's a problem on a couple other forums I visit...

Ive noticed that also, Im on here late sometimes too, and I have noticed the same thing. There are other forums though that do the same thing, Like the Corvette forum and the Mazda RX/7 forum.

You have noticed our "backup time" where our many servers are taking their turn getting backed up. Sorry but we have to do this nightly. Better to do it late at night. The good news is that your words are getting immortalized onto tape for future generations to enjoy. Yikes!!!

Loading times have never been faster for me.<br />Late night downloads used to be slow, but now are faster.<br />Pages here on iboats load in about 2 seconds, when using my new Mac.<br /><br />I can surf with two computers at once now, and my windows system takes 4-6x longer to load a page, than my OS X Panther machine.<br /><br />THe only "slow to load" site for me, is ebay.

Yea what roscoe said only I am using PC and they always load fast for me here no matter what time it is.<br />I am on cable also if that would make a difference.
